“Clothing, quilts, and textiles are connected to us through touch. They are some of the most intimate objects in our lives, so by using the most common materials I create an easy space for people to open up about their own experiences. Every piece is considered a self portrait, but by showing my own vulnerability, I invite others curiosity of the mundane and entice exploration of the unknown.”

An art practice that revolves around fabric

“The quilts and garments I create begin as abstract motifs — drawn from historical quilt designs, patterns, and observations from my own life. As I bring them into being, I use found fabrics, discarded clothing, and personal belongings and imbue each design with the history those textiles carried.”
